At a click the search screen is loaded. From here the entry of a few characters in a name or telephone number will result in rapid access to the desired information. Even if you have a multi-user system with tens of thousands of records results will display almost instantly.

A click on a result will then display the full record, for editing if neccesary.

Windows Application Design

Unlike many custom built database systems, our designs have a normal Windows interface with the menus and toolbars that you have come to expect on many applications.
 
Primary Data Record Edit Screen

After a click from a search result or a click on the "New" tool the main edit screen will appear.

On single data systems there will be just one of the screens, on a double data system there will be two.

Secondary Data Type Tabs

Secondary Data Tabs

Depending on the number of secondary, or dependant, data types that hang off the primary there will be one or more tabs accessible from the main data screen that when clicked will display the secondary data table.

Secondary data can contain a variety of fields with many data types: text, numbers, dates, money or drop-down lists.
 
Drop-Down List Data

The use of drop-down lists helps keep your data consistent and can be used throughout your application.

Contents of lists can all be edited using the tools and menus from the main search screen, the system will not let you delete a drop-down list entry that is in use within your database.

Data Output

Reporting and Exporting Functions

Our fixed price and fully bespoke systems give you a variety of output options, direct to PDF format or output to CSV (comma seperated values) file.

PDF format is ideal for your own storage, printing or for internal or external email.

CSV format will open direct to a spreadsheet on many computers (if spreadsheet software such as Microsoft Excel is installed). This is ideal if you wish to do calculations or produce graphs from your data. It can also be opened by other database applications and even in Notepad.

 
Report Content

A major strength of our systems is that output format and content is definable by the user. Simply choose which fields you wish to include in the output and, if required, which field the data should be sorted by.

In addition, columns widths can be edited and data can be filtered. Filtering can be done by exact matches or even on partial matches by clicking the wildcard field.

If a field holds dates then the user can select the start and end dates to be included in the report or output.
