Background

Artisan Software are a specialist software house producing landscape design software for landscape architects. The software is either standalone or is supplied as an Autocad add-on.

They required a web application for their clients to log software support requests and also to act as a knowledge basis that would form a ready supply of support for future client questions.

File Upload

As well as posing questions the site allows supported clients to upload to Artisan files that exhibit or problem or explain an issue. Solutions can then be posted either as written answers or in the form of files that the client can download.

Knowledge Base

The knowledge base is searched by free text and returns answers in a "search engine" format with the results graded by expected relevance.

Knowledge base articles can also have filed attached for download.
